Tea at Xiu Tea House by Rüsters Ubud, Bali

I met up with a dear tea friend, and he took me to Xiu Tea House by Rüsters. We were warmly welcomed by Faye, the tea master, who guided us in choosing the right tea.

The space was flooded with natural light and had a calming, warm atmosphere. Our first tea was a Red Tea that we really enjoyed for its woody, cherry, and slightly smoky flavors. Each guest gets their own kettle, stove, and gong fu setup, which made the experience feel especially personal and social.

What I loved most was the ambience. On one hand, it felt private and intimate—we brewed and served tea for each other—while on the other, we were surrounded by others doing the same with their friends. It was like being in your own little tea bubble, quietly connected to a room full of people who share the same appreciation for tea.
